Valves in chemical process industry need to meet a higher standard on leakage, since the leakage of any toxic chemicals would harm the plant employees' health, as well as pollute the atmosphere. By using bellows seal valves, the external leakage from stuffing box(gland packing) and body joints of valves could be reduced considerably.
The most common bellow seal valves are globe valves and gate valves. The bellows is welded to both the valve bonnet and the valve stem, and can be compressed or extended by operating the valve stem. In this case, the leakage points at the valve gland is eliminated by the bellows.
Kolink bellows valves range from DN15(1/2") to DN400(16") in size, and from PN10 to PN160 (ANSI CL150 to CL900). The materials of bellows can be stainless steel 304 / 316 / 316Ti, or other alloys like Inconel or Hastalloy, depend on the temperature and corrosion resistance requirements.
